SHOPPING - EXCURSIONS

PRADA - GUCCI - DOLCE&GABBANA OUTLETS Shopping tours take you to the OUTLETS of some of the most famous Italian designer brands, 30 minutes by car south of Florence. The trip will take you into the hilly and green Arno Valley, a picturesque Tuscan landscape. First stop: PRADA, Second stop: The MALL (GUCCI, ARMANI, FENDI, FERRAGAMO,VALENTINO, etc.), Third stop: DOLCE&GABBANA

CHIANTI COUNTRY SIDE

Tour in the Chianti countryside, woods, cypresses, charming landscapes, wineyards, olive groves, Visit at wine cellars of an old farm with wine tasting, Grappa and olive oil, etc. Possibility of lunch/dinner on request.

MONTALCINO

Tour in the hills of Montalcino, where the famous Brunello wine is produced. Visit the Benedectin Abbey of Sant'Antimo. Possibility of lunch on request.

CAVE DI MARMO DI CARRARA

The Apuan Alps with the 5000 foot peak of M.te Altissima; home to the marble quarries that supplied Michelangelo and Canova with the marble used for some of their greatest works. Visit Colonnata, the famous small village of the Apuane Alps, for a taste of typical local products, the most well known being "Lard". Possibility of lunch on request.

SIENA + SAN GIMIGNANO

Two of the most fascinating towns in Tuscany are Siena and San Gimignano. Siena is a Gothic pearl, crowned by its original walls. The unique square (Piazza del Campo) is where the Palio takes place and its Cathedral is considered one of the most beautiful in Italy. San Gimignano, a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE site, has also been called the New York of the Middle Ages due to its forest of towers, which represent the never ending competition among the local aristocratic families. PISA + LUCCA

The celebrated Leaning Tower and its marvelous Miracoli Square provide a beautiful contrast between the striking green grass and the shining white of the Cathedral and Baptistery. Lucca is famous for the Romanesque style that directly preceded the Gothic period. The city is full of churches of incomparable beauty and is closed in by ancient walls surrounded by a moat.

CINQUE TERRE

The Cinque Terre have adorned the Ligurian Riviera since medieval times, and are now a UNESCO World Heritage site. These five picturesque towns, Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, have preserved their character as fishing villages, ports and hilltop fortress towns in the face of Saracen piracy and foreign invasions. Assisi, centrally located in the greenest region of Italy, is the holy town of Saint Francis, with its breathtaking basilicas, Roman temple, castle and the frescoes by Giotto.

Venice is the city of romance and love, one of the most beautiful cities of the world. The city boasts its Gran Canal with famous bridges, the gondolas, the narrow silent walkways, and the vibrant colors of the buildings which are reflected in the water. With a lifestyle focused in and around the water, everything in Venice seems surreal. Possibility of lunch on request.

ROMA

No description can do justice to Rome. A personal Visit to the "Ethernal City", encompassing the vast history of the "URBE" will capture every visitor with its ruins, villas, fountains, squares and major monuments such as the Colosseum, Pantheon, Baths of Caracalla, Arch of Costantine, Ara Pacis, etc. Possibility of lunch on request.

VERONA

Verona is a medieval masterpiece, the city of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" and one of the most enjoyable cities in Italy. Central to the city is the Roman amphitheatre "Arena" where Opera Concerts are held during the summer. It also features famous squares, Erbe, Bra', Juliet's family home with the famous balcony, etc. Possibility of lunch on request.

VOLTERRA

Archeological evidence confirms the origins of Volterra during the Neolithic period, which preceded a large expansion initially under the Etruscans and later under the Romans. The walls with its gates, the Duomo and the other archeological sites like the Roman Theatre, Baths, Acroplis and the Etruscan Burial sites are not to be missed.
